At the end of February, the movie Superwoman will hit the cinemas, which will show everyone that being in your thirties is no fun these days. And the preparation wasn’t even fun, because the film was accompanied by one disaster after another. One of the actresses was hit by a car, and the director was again attacked by a lamp in the bathtub, then she had another nasty fall on skis. On the contrary, Natálie Grossová, who played the bride, was comfortable. It will be remembered for a long time by the director Eva Toulová, who shared with the eXtra.cz editors a few funny and more complicated stories from the filming.
Filming in the style of a series of unfortunate events was experienced by director of romantic comedies Eva Toulová. Probably the most serious problem that befuddled the filmmakers was traffic accident of Pavla Tomicováwhich on the vespa together with singer Dáša Zázvůrková hit the lady in the car. The accident happened in May 2022 near the National Theatre, and the creators had to recast the actress literally overnight. One of the main characters, the main character’s mother, was played by the actress Jitka Sedláčková.
A moment of horror in the bathtub
Eva Toulová also had luck in misfortune, who this time even cast herself in her film and portrayed the main character. However, a terrifying scene took place in the very first shooting scenes. A lighted lamp fell on the young director directly into the bathtub in which she was bathing. However, she managed to catch it at the last moment and avert the disaster.
She also overestimated her strength during the filming of winter ski runs in Lower Moravia, when she had to fall several times on camera. The decision not to use a stuntman turned out to be somewhat unfortunate, as there were roughly two dozen falls filmed from various drone and camera angles. Toulová caused such a commotion that passers-by came to the ski slope after her asking if it would be better for her to leave the ski slope if she is not in control.
Dirty wedding
In the film, as in a proper romantic comedy, wedding dresses appear several times. And several times they will also be destroyed. The director herself tore the trio apart as part of her acting role as an act of ending love. However, not to discredit the film, not everyone met this sad fate. One Natálie Grossová, who played the main heroine’s sister, wore it. Her mother even played the role of one of the bridesmaids Šárka Grossováwho, thanks to the touching festive scene, could vividly imagine how her daughter’s wedding will one day look like.
The premiere of the comedy Superwoman will take place on February 29, 2024.
