POS-KUPANG.COM, WAINGAPU — Majority of patients dengue hemorrhagic fever ( DBD) who were admitted to two hospitals in East Sumba consist of children.
Director of Umbu Rara Meha Hospital Waingapu, dr. Rudi Damanik, Sp.Rad said, during the range of December 2021, as many as four dengue fever patients were treated at hospitals owned by the regional government. All of them are children.
“So far there are 4 cases DBD who are hospitalized. All children. Three have returned home in good condition, one is still under treatment,” said Dr POS-KUPANG.COM, Wednesday 29 December 2021.
He said that all dengue fever sand that came in conditions of high heat was handled properly until they were healthy and returned home. There is one DHF patient who is currently undergoing maintenance, he said, had just entered the hospital on Sunday, December 26, 2021.
Similarly, the Director of the Lindimara Christian Hospital, dr. Henryanto Irawan through Public Relations, Jackson Damanuna said, during December 2021, as many as 11 patients were diagnosed with cases DBD treated at the hospital.
The youngest patient was 4 years old and the oldest patient was 56 years old. Of the total patients, 8 were children and adolescents and 3 were adults. Of 11 patients DBD treated, as many as 9 patients have recovered and returned home.
There are currently two patients left dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) who are still receiving treatment are children aged 8 years and adolescents aged 17 years.
Bintang (8), a resident of KM4 Kambajawa Village has been treated at Ward Samaria since Sunday 26 December 2021. Meanwhile, APN (16), a resident of Lambanapu Village has been treated in the Kapernaum Ward since Friday 24 December 2021.
Plt. Head of Health Service East Sumba, James Yiwa said, during about January to December 28, 2021, the number of patients DBD in the district East Sumba as many as 38 people. While the number of patients with dengue fever (DD) as many as 25 people.
