The Mainvilloise Rose Loga in gold and silver at the French championships [mis à jour]

Five months after her first bronze medal in the Elite, the Mainvilloise Rose Loga adorned herself with an even more precious metal in all categories, on the occasion of the winter French championships for long throws, this Sunday, February 21, in Salon-de-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône). The Aclam athlete, also sacred among the juniors, won the money.

the Mainvilloise Rose Loga in bronze with the hammer throw

She was beaten by senior Alexandra Tavernier (Annecy) and master Laetitia Bambara (Antony). But, after taking the third step, she climbed a notch on the podium in a second official ceremony. In the confusion, Bambara was indeed considered of Burkinabé nationality and placed outside the league.

Rose Loga, 18, has thus confirmed that she is one of the very best French hammer specialists. But, disappointment, in a windswept area, it remained below its last performances.

In a competition where she was fairly consistent around 64m, her best throw, the last, was measured at 66.30m, nearly five meters from her French junior record (71.09m) set at the end of January. , in Eaubonne (Val-d’Oise). She missed second place in the competition, going to Laetitia Bambara with 67.52m, for 1.22m.

New French hammer record for Mainvilloise Rose Loga

The first, on the other hand, was out of reach. For her first official outing of the year, Alexandra Tavernier knocked out the entrance exam with 74.91 m. Then, in the process, she broke her own French record (75.23 m) by sending her hammer to 75.38 m. It is of course installed at the top of the French 2021 balance sheet, dislodging Rose Loga, but also of the global balance sheet!

La Mainvilloise knows the way to go. In the meantime, she has offered herself the title of champion of France among juniors, a category she outrageously dominates.

Diego Bouchan in bronze at Miramas
The only athlete from Eure-et-Loir competing for the French Elite indoor championships in Miramas (Bouches-du-Rhône), the member of ESP Dreux Diego Bouchan won the bronze medal in the 60 m hurdles cadets, this Sunday February 21. Particularly, with the draconian registration criteria (only athletes appearing on the ministerial lists of high-level athletes could enter according to the rules set by the government), there were only three competitors in the running! Diego Bouchan finished third in the only series contested, in 8:07, his personal best, and third in the final, in 8:10. The Eurélien was beaten by Oscar Dugué (Caen) and Alban Fleury (Gravenchon), who respectively ran in 7”81 and 8”05 in this final.
