BioWare has finally fully presented the updated trilogy Mass Effect… There is a lot of good news, but one bad news – the release will take place only May 14.
And now for the good: Legendary Edition will not be a basic remaster. The studio did a lot of work on the entire trilogy, massively improving the quality of textures and models, as well as introducing modern effects and significantly changing the way lighting works.
At the same time, the team intends to preserve the style of the original, so all improvements are created taking into account the original vision – according to the plan, the remaster will look like many remembered the original. The entire trilogy is now launched through a single client, and the character editor will be shared.
Most of BioWare’s effort went into the first part, which came out almost 14 years ago. In addition to improved graphics, new mini-games and an interface will appear in it, and battles will change noticeably – the original was more RPG than the next two parts. This was “corrected”.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition will be released on May 14th on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Apparently, there won’t be separate versions for PS5 and Xbox Series, but they will receive some improvements. On PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, PS5 and Xbox Series X, they promise 60 frames per second support.
The PC also added support for ultra-wide monitors and gamepads.
