The historical project was also appreciated in Russia, especially noting the leading lady Meryem Uzerli. Millions of fans have repeatedly invited the artist to visit them, and each of her visits was perceived as a real holiday. And not so long ago it turned out that Uzerli is connected with Russia not only by the love of her fans.
According to the artist, already in adulthood, she decided on a DNA test. And the experts found that some of her relatives once lived in Russia. Therefore, the German-Turkish actress can safely call herself partly Slavic.
At the same time, culturally, the screen star finds closeness to a country far from its homeland. While still at school, she began to learn Russian and can still say a few phrases.
“I love Russia. I studied this language for ten years at school, ”Uzerli admitted in an interview.
