This Saturday, September 7, the Municipal Theater of Maipú was the epicenter of the Third Book Auction Fair, organized by the Department of Culture of the Municipality and the publishing house Fondo de Cultura Económica (FCE). The event brought together various exhibitors, who offered more than a thousand titles at prices ranging from $1,000 to $7,000 pesos.
The public, who enjoyed a day full of cultural activities, were able to attend storytelling, workshops and book presentations by prominent publishers such as Zig-Zag, Ceibo and Ekaré Sur. Among the most anticipated moments was the presentation of the book The wizard of the end of the world of Jean Paul Olhaberrywho dazzled the audience with a magic act in which, after performing calculations with numbers provided by the audience, he revealed the exact date and time of the event, surprising everyone.
The fair, which was a meeting place for all ages, closed with the presentation of the book Monsters and gods of the end of the world by Francisco Ortega and Félix Vega, culminating a successful afternoon that celebrated reading and culture in the community.
