The Macromedia University conquers the fashion world at The Westin Hamburg | Shots Magazine

The fair called ‘Moon Art Fair’ has now transformed the lobby of The Westin Hamburg into a stylish fashion stage for up-and-coming talent.

A glamorous metamorphosis recently took place in the halls of The Westin Hamburg luxury hotel in the Elbphilharmonie – from an elegant hotel area to the ultimate fashion stage.

As part of this year’s “Moon Art Fair”, a regular fair for contemporary art, up-and-coming talents from Macromedia University presented their creative masterpieces – and the lobby became a gallery for new fashion.

Under the motto “Disruption,” the students brought their visionary creations onto the catwalk between artistic paintings and curious hotel guests.

Sculptural shapes, bold leather applications, bright neon colors and oversized coats created an impressive presentation and made a strong statement.

The young talents’ designs not only reflected this year’s motto of the fair, but also broke the boundaries between art and fashion. Everyday objects were alienated and interior elements were integrated – a game with stylish boundaries.

Prof. Alena Bartschat, lecturer in fashion design at Macromedia University, enthused: “My students worked with a lot of passion and implemented the motto brilliantly. The designs impressed not only me, but also the visitors to the Moon Art Fair.”

An individual showroom enabled guests not only to admire, but also to try on and buy parts of the innovative collections.

Emerging designers included talents such as Felicia Dieckelmann with her brand Scarabis and Reyka Görns, whose fashion is inspired by elegant equestrian clothing, with distinctive leather straps, cutouts and boxy silhouettes.

The “Moon Art Fair” not only offered this really cool fashion show, but also a lecture by Alena Bartschat about the path from sketch to real product.

Prof. Claudia Damm took the participants into the world of draping with a fascinating workshop. A final round of discussions was the highlight of the Macromedia University’s appearance.

In this sense, the “Moon Art Fair” at The Westin Hamburg was more than an art fair – it was a fashion highlight that combined futuristic visions and creative energy.
