This is the big bet of this festival: to offer an alternative and innovative edition with a well-established slogan like a mantra: diversity. Thus, the festival program is organized in several highlights composed of exhibitions, dedications, and public meetings with readers. This festival will be organized in various must-see places in the capital of Gaul and in bookshops. About sixty authors will be present throughout the weekend.
Much of this programming focuses on youth. Meetings will take place, among others, with Zep, in the Tête d’Or park, where he will invite children and families to join him to discuss and discover the new album of Titeuf. Other meetings are also planned with authors such as Joann Sfar, Aurélie Neyret, Diane Le Feyer or Mathieu Sapin.

A cycle of conferences and meetings entitled ” Comics on stage »Takes place in the city’s major performing arts venues (opera and theater). You will have the opportunity to listen to authors like Riad Sattouf, Charles Berberian, Lewis Trondheim, Pénélope Bagieu but also Nicolas Petrimaux.
The exhibitions demonstrate this diversity, in particular the one devoted to African comics (we are organizing a conference on this subject today at noon) and another which focuses on the place of comics on the face of contemporary disputes. by paying tribute to activist artists committed around the world.
Finally, Lyon bookstores are mobilized in partnership with the festival in order to offer a certain number of dedications with all the authors present during the event.
This is only a brief outline of the programming of this event punctuated by many animations. After the concern related to the postponement of the Angoulême festival scheduled for June, the telescoping will not take place. Note that most events are by reservation and that a whole part of this festival is “off”.
