KOMPAS.com – Home is an important part of everyone’s life. No exception for the richest people in the world.
Referring Forbes The Real Time Billionaires List on Sunday (08/10/2023), the three richest people in the world are Elon Musk, Bernard Arnault and family, and Jeff Bezos.
Elon Musk is in first place with assets reaching 259.9 billion US dollars or the equivalent of IDR 4,057 trillion (exchange rate IDR 15,611).
Followed by Bernard Arnault and family with 190.1 billion US dollars or the equivalent of IDR 2,967 trillion (exchange rate IDR 15,611), and Jeff Bezos with 150.8 billion US dollars or the equivalent of IDR 2,354 trillion (exchange rate IDR 15,611).
With this wealth, it is very easy and natural for the three conglomerates in the world to have luxurious and magnificent homes.

So, where do the three richest people in the world live? Is it true that they live in a luxurious house? The following is the review as quoted from Architectural Digest.
1. Elon Musk
In 2020, the Tesla CEO stated on his social media account, namely Twitter, that he would not own a house and planned to sell almost all his worldly possessions.
The following year, Elon Musk reportedly had his main residence in the form of a prefabricated house in Boca Chica, Texas, which he purchased through his astronautics company, SpaceX.
However, the truth that Elon Musk lives in a prefabricated house made by the Boxabl company has not yet been confirmed.
The Boxabl Casita residential unit, which is reported to be Elon Musk’s house, has an area of around 400 square feet.
The shape is like a studio apartment unit in general, equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom.
The United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York and the Securities and Exchange Commission are currently investigating Tesla’s funding of a secret plan known as Project 42, which is rumored to be a glass-walled home for the mogul near the company’s headquarters in Austin, Texas.
2. Bernard Arnault
The 74-year-old French business magnate built his fortune through the luxury brand Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LMVH).
Arnault reportedly sold his luxury home in Beverly Hills designed by Marmol Radziner for US$84 million or the equivalent of Rp. 1.31 trillion to himself, although the situation is still unclear.
In 2012, Forbes reported that Arnault owned Indigo Island, a 135-acre paradise-like sanctuary in the Bahamas, as well as a ski chalet in Courchevel, France.
It is still unclear where Arnault lives, because he does not really highlight his status as one of the richest people in the world.
3. Jeff Bezos
The Amazon founder’s property portfolio has grown rapidly in recent years.

Bezos spent 80 million US dollars or the equivalent of IDR 1.24 trillion for three luxury apartments in New York overlooking Madison Square Park.
It then added two more units in the same building to its holdings.
In 2020, he bought the iconic Jack Warner estate in Beverly Hills for 165 million US dollars or the equivalent of IDR 2.57 trillion.
The following year, he added a 14 hectare complex in Hawaii to his portfolio with a value of around 78 million US dollars or the equivalent of IDR 1.21 trillion.
His latest purchase was a property worth 68 million US dollars or the equivalent of IDR 1.06 trillion on Indian Creek Island, Miami, which is also known as the Billionaire Bunker. The Biscayne Bay location is also Ivanka Trump’s home.
Although impressive, these new properties still don’t cover Bezos’ entire portfolio.
His primary residence for the past few decades has been a compound in Amazon’s home state of Washington.
The estate is located in the affluent Seattle suburb of Medina.
Bezos bought a building covering an area of 20,600 square feet and an additional building covering an area of 8,300 square feet for US$ 10 million or the equivalent of Rp. 156 billion.
In 2010, he bought an adjacent property, namely a Tudor-style house for 53 million US dollars or the equivalent of Rp. 827 billion.
This sprawling waterfront complex reportedly has multiple pools and access to Lake Washington.
