The Love Story of Prince William and Catherine: From a Breakup to a Stronger Marriage

They dated for almost ten years before William proposed to Catherine.

The couple has been married for over 12 years and are the parents of three beautiful children – Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte.

But there was a period in the couple’s life when they broke off the relationship. This happened shortly after graduating from the University of St Andrews in 2007.

After their engagement in November 2010, the couple gave a short interview in which they touched on the topic of their short separation, writes express.

“I didn’t really like it at the time, but it actually made me a stronger person. You learn things about yourself that maybe you didn’t realize. I think relationships can completely consume you when you’re younger. I really appreciated This is also a time for myself, although I didn’t think about it at the time,” said Princess Kate. And her husband William added:

“We broke up for a while. We were both very young, it was at university, and we were both finding ourselves, being different characters and everything. We were trying to find our own path and we were growing up. … It was just a bit of freedom “It worked for the better,” the prince recalls.

Catherine also recalled her first meeting with the prince. “I even blushed when I met you and ran away, very embarrassed to meet you.” Adding: “William wasn’t there for quite a while at the beginning, he wasn’t there for Freshers’ Week, so it took us a while to get to know each other. But we became very close friends almost straight away,” Kate said.

Today the whole world knows about their love story. I must say that over 12 years of marriage, this couple has grown and changed noticeably. And Kate no longer looks like such an embarrassed girl as before; on the contrary, she confidently takes on the role of the future Queen Consort.
