The Louves of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges continue their very good start to the season with another clear victory against Vitrolles, concluded with a resounding 3-0. Manu Dumortier’s players left their opponents no chance, confirming their position as serious contenders at the top of the rankings.

Flawless domination

This Saturday against Vitrolles, the Louves quickly set their pace. Under the direction of their captain of the day, Julie Mollinger, impeccable in reception, and the fluid distribution of Emilia Balague, the Déodatiennes were able to take control of the match from the first exchanges. The first points follow one another, and the score rises quickly: 7-2, then 15-7, until a clear 25-15 to close the first set, with a powerful attack from Kahaia Tauraa as a conclusion.

Vitrolles resists… briefly

The second set saw Vitrolles offer more marked resistance, hoping to slow down the Vosges assault. But Estelle Adiana, the true spearhead of the local attack, did not take long to shine. Combining devastating serves and incisive attacks, she broke the visitors’ defense lines, allowing the Louves to win again 25-15.

A controlled end to the match

The third set confirms the superiority of Manu Dumortier’s girls. Tehei Labaste and Estelle Adiana take turns to break through the opposing ranks, quickly leading their team to 8-4, then 16-8. A final attack from Kahaia Tauraa seals the final score at 25-14, and the Louves thus offer themselves a fifth victory in as many matches this season.

Objective: continue the series in Nantes

Thanks to this new performance, Saint-Dié maintains its second place in the ranking with 14 points out of 15 possible, just behind Harnes, leader with one point ahead. The next meeting promises to be more competitive: the Deodatiennes will travel to Nantes, currently third, for the 6th day. This duel, scheduled for Saturday, November 2, will be an opportunity for the Déodatiennes to defend their winning streak and consolidate their position at the top of the table.
