Milan’s story
The second searcher, forty-two-year-old Milan, today a world-class top chef, was taken from his mother at three months old and placed in an infant care institution. A year later, he was transferred to a children’s home in Kamenice nad Lipou.

He was adopted at the age of two. However, he decided to look for his biological relatives only now.
Moderator Tereza Pergnerová: I learned not to cry
“I will always consider my adoptive parents as my own, but I also want to resolve my past. I want to know who I am and if I have any relatives,” he says, adding that he loved his adoptive parents and is forever grateful to them. Thanks to them, he cooks in prestigious restaurants and passes on his skills to students as part of culinary courses.
