The Lost Diamond Earring: A Look Back at the Iconic Moment from Keeping Up With the Kardashians

Several moments from the series “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” have gone down in reality TV history. For Kendall Jenner (28) it’s the scene in which she cuts a cucumber in an unusual way. For Kim Kardashian (43), it’s the moment she emerges from the water in Bora Bora, screams and looks for her diamond earring. She lost it in the water: “My $75,000 earring! I lost him!” she shouts. Her sister Kourtney (44) reacts annoyed: “Kim, there are people out there who are dying.” Since then there have been thousands of memes and compilations about the scene.

This happened in the sixth season of the series, in 2011. Since then, fans have regularly wondered whether the earring was found. Kim now tells “GQ”: “Every time I’m in the water, people want to know if I’ve found my diamond earring. I don’t know if we showed this on the show, but Kylie found the earring. She put on diving goggles, jumped into the sea and found him.” Kim Kardashian grins. “She even found the clasp of the earring, the water on Bora Bora is so clear. So guys, the earring was found in 2010!” It’s been so long that Kim seems to have forgotten the exact year.
