The sell-out of the Utah Jazz is not over yet. After the exchanges for Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, the Los Angeles Lakers may continue to use Jazz. The Phoenix Suns are also interested in Bojan Bogdanovic.
Like Jeff Zilgitt of USA Today reportedly, the Lakers are expected to deal with Bojan Bogdanovic, Mike Conley and Jordan Clarkson. However, the Lakers also want to keep hat space for the summer of 2023, which should make trading difficult for Conley and Clarkson.
Like Clarkson, Conley has a contract until 2024, while Bogdanovic’s deal expires in 2023. The Croatian will raise nearly $ 20 million next season.
In a trade, the Jazz should most likely include Russell Westbrook, since the Lakers have no contracts in Bogdanovic’s area. Other players such as Malik Beasley or Nickeil Alexander-Walker should also be involved in exchange. Utah would likely ask for the two choices available in the Lakers first round (2027 and 2029).
The Phoenix Suns are also rumored to be interested in Bogdanovic. John Gambadoro, who is well connected to Phoenix (Arizona Sport 98.7 FM). According to him, the Suns should give up several players and future choices to get their hands on Bogdanovic. The Suns all have their choices, with Jae Crowder, Dario Saric, Cameron Johnson, Torrey Craig and Damion Lee all out of contract.
Bogdanovic could take the Suns even further in attack, the striker scored 18.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists at 45.5 percent from the field and nearly 39 percent from distance in the previous season. The Croatian continues to be considered one of the best sharpshooters in the league.
The Suns finished last season as the best team in the NBA, but were surprisingly eliminated in the second round of the playoffs by the Dallas Mavericks after seven games.
