I was referring in particular to the younger unknown protagonists in GoT Kit Harrington, Sophie Turner, Emilia Clarke, Richard Madden, Maisie Williams… I don’t think anyone “knew” these people before Game of Thrones.-You forget in this Jack Gleeson the Joffrey interpreted, it was much better than those other names you mention. The only thing that comes close is Emilia Clarkethe rest wasn’t very good. They haven’t done badly, but they aren’t exactly actors I would follow for the rest of their careers to put it that way.
With regard to the LOTR series, in addition to the ones you have already mentioned, there are certainly more with TV, film or theater experience (eg Lloyd Owen, Augustus Prew, Morfydd Clark, Nazanin Boniadi).
These names don’t mean anything to me, I’ve also watched Youtube clips of them, but I can’t say that these will be supporting actors.
I think the examples you know of Spartacus are perhaps the less interesting .. that series was not acted that well
Spartacus is therefore portrayed more as a play on the screen, and certainly does not want to say that these were all top actors, certainly not.
Some of the original LOTR cast were also still far from known at the time: actors such as Orlando Bloom and Viggo Mortensen mainly had to rely on supporting roles.
Orlando Bloom therefore has more of his appearance than his acting talent in my experience, in addition to his role in LOTR only in Pirates of The Caribbean, a decent role, otherwise not special.
The interests and budgets are large, they must have been handled with care.
The interests were great in the filming of the book series The Wheel of Time, also by Amazon produced and despite the enormous budget, this one has not been well received by book lovers.
According to various reports, including GQ, The Wheel of Time cost an eye-watering $80 million to make. Breaking this down, each episode of the series would have set the creators back around $10 million.
Personally, I don’t expect much from it, but I like to be surprised, that also prevents a huge disappointment if the series is indeed a flop.
