Polda Metro Jaya released the case spread of fake news or hoax. One person who is the owner of the Snack Video account @rakyatjelata_98 caught by the police. This is how it looks.
The suspect, a man with the initials AH, was exhibited at a press conference at Polda Metro Jaya. Suspect AH, who was wearing an orange prisoner’s shirt and had his hands tied with a cable, just looked down languidly.
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Endra Zulpan said this case was reported to his party on Monday (25/7). The police then conducted an investigation and arrested the perpetrator at his home in Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday (27/7).

“The evidence that was confiscated by investigators and has been held is one unit cell phone belonging to the suspect, the Snack Video account @rakyatjelata_98 which was used by the perpetrator,” said Zulpan at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Thursday (28/7/2022).

Zulpan says AH uses Snack Video account belonging to the suspect to spread false news and hate speech. The police said that a number of public officials were the targets of AH’s actions.
“The content of the video accuses several public officials of causing hatred,” Zulpan explained.
Several pieces of evidence were shown by the police in the case release. One of the items contained screenshots of examples of hate speech and fake news made by the perpetrators through the @rakyatjelata_98 account.
The perpetrator AH has now been named a suspect. He was charged with Article 28 paragraph 2 junto Article 45 paragraph 2 of the ITE Law, Article 14 of Law Number 1 of 1946, and Article 115 of Law Number 1 of 1946 with a maximum threat of 6 years in prison.
