At 162 weeks, the song “Roller” by the Ludwigshafen rapper Apache 207 is now the longest-ranking chart hit in German pop history. The song, released in 2019, overtook Wham’s annual Christmas hit “Last Christmas”, as announced by GfK Entertainment. Apache 207, whose real name is Volkan Yaman, was born in Mannheim in 1997 and grew up in Ludwigshafen. “Roller” was at number one for just a single week in September 2019. The song is currently in position 41. Together with Udo Lindenberg, Apache 207 currently has the number one hit “Komet”.
