The protagonist encounters a number of well-known historical personalities along the way.

“The film comes out at a time when we see that what is meant in the film more than a metaphor or allegory suddenly becomes a reality, and that is obviously sad for the filmmakers at the same time, but on the other hand it makes the viewing of the film different, “noted the film ‘s director Dāvis Sīmanis.

The film is designed as an interpretation of European history, telling the story of the demise of an old culture and the survival of an ordinary person in these conditions.

“It’s a poem. The diagnosis in the film makes me very perceptible and echoes the way I can express myself. The poem has all the images, of course, the visuals that come from history, they don’t represent history anymore. They’re not about history, “We will never know what it was and what it is. What we write and show in films is what happens in our heads and what we think,” said poetess writer Inese Zandere on the evening of the premiere of the film.

The roles in the film are played by Czech actor Petrs Buhta and such Latvian actors as Inga Siliņa, Lauris Dzelzītis, Ģirts Ķesteris and many others. As one of the premiere visitors admitted – the film is not entertainment to watch while enjoying wine or coffee.

“She is quite gloomy, especially for the modern generation, who are accustomed to everything easy, with Mr. Bina’s jokes. Then this film is difficult to grasp, but as the value will remain in the history of Latvian cinema,” said the premiere visitor, actor Kaspars Pūce.

The premiere of the premiere, film director Lauris Ābele, compared it: for screenwriters – all of these, let’s call it “Easter Eggs”, which are left hidden, then of course in some ways this work works less. “
