The London Stock Exchange rises 0.56% driven by oil and banking

London, Sep 13 (EFE) .- The London Stock Exchange closed the session this Monday with a rise of 0.56% driven by bank securities and oil.

The FTSE-100, the main index in the British capital, advanced 39.23 points, to 7,068.43 integers, while the secondary FTSE-250 gained 0.18%, 42.17 points, to 23,775.73 integers.

At the close of the stock market, the British pound advanced 0.06% against the euro, to 1.1722 euros, and gained 0.04% against the US dollar, to 1.3844 dollars.

Among oil companies, Royal Dutch Shell A advanced 2.35%, BP 2.25% and Royal Dutch Shell B 2.23%, while in the banking sector Lloyds Banking Group rose 2.83%, Standard Chartered, 2.18%, and Barclays, 2.13%.

The Royal Mail postal company led the earnings, advancing 3.02%. Fund manager Pershing Square Holdings rose 2.58%, energy company National Grid 2.54% and carmaker Rolls Royce Holdings 2.53%.

In contrast, the classifieds company Auto Trader Group led the losses, with a fall of 3.05%, the textile Burberry Group fell 2.55%, the food Associated British Foods a 2.36%, the investment manager Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust 2.32% and the technology AVEVA Group 1.98%. EFE
