London, Jan 7 (EFE) .- The London Stock Exchange closed this Friday a positive first week of the year with a rise of 0.47% thanks to the push especially offered by the financial and raw materials sectors.

Despite the fact that the session opened on the same negative path that closed the day on Thursday, the London benchmark recovered in the afternoon to close in green, driven by banks and commodity companies.

The mining company Anglo American led the increases, with a rise of 2.94%, followed by another company in the sector, BHP (2.69%) and the insurer Prudential (2.68%).
