The London Stock Exchange falls 3.48% due to the war in Ukraine

The FTSE-100, the main index in the British capital, fell 251.71 points, to 6,987.14 integers, while the secondary FTSE-250 lost 3.45%, 692.02 points, to 19,387.68 integers.

At the close of the stock market, the pound sterling advanced 0.38% against the euro, to 1.2108 euros, and fell 1.03% against the US dollar, to 1.3212 dollars.

On the London floor, the textile Burberry Group led the losses with a drop of 8.38%, while the packaging company Smurfit Kappa Group gave up 8.03%, the construction materials company CRH 7.74% , the bookmaker Flutter Entertainment 7.41% and the teleco BT Group 7.28%.

On the other hand, the Evraz mining company rose 12.99%, the Fresnillo mining company 8.61%, the London Stock Exchange Group stock manager 3.87%, the energy company SSE 1.88% and the finance company Hargreaves Lansdown 1.50%.
