Stopped the clothes of the Inspector Montalbano, Luca Zingaretti wears those of the director of a border prison in the Sky Original TV series “Il Re”.
The eight-episode series directed by Giuseppe Gagliardi tells the story of Bruno Testori who works in San Michele prison. Here he is the absolute ruler and exercises his personal idea of justice, he is ruthless with those who deserve it and merciful with others.
The Italian “prison drama” is set in different locations in our country, ranging between Rome, Civitavecchia, Turin and Trieste, a border city.
It is not the usual film location, the latter, yet Trieste has won the hearts of many artists and writers. James Joyce revealed that he had left his soul, while Umberto Saba described her as “thoughtful” and “shy”, characterized by a “surly grace”. It was his hometown, but it is not only for this reason that he exalted and defended it.

The frame is represented by the largest port in Italy, which was the main seaport of the Hapsburg Empire.
The most beautiful views are also those shown in the TV series “Il Re” (to be released in the fall) in which Zingaretti (alias, Bruno Testori) moves like a “dark” character to be discovered, certainly very different from the Except Montalbano that we have come to know in 22 years of TV series dedicated to the most famous commissioner in Italy.
