The location of Salagou – Cirque de Mourèze will obtain the label Grand website de France and is already awakening vacationers – France Bleu

After the Hérault Gorge and the Cirque de Navacelles, Salagou valley and Cirque de Mourèze is the third website within the Hérault division to obtain the Grand website de France label. The Greater Fee of the Ministry of Ecology issued a positive opinion and due to this fact acquired the label that acknowledges the standard of the work performed for the safety of the surroundings and the reception of holiday makers. The landscapes have already received over guests.

“These are inconceivable colours!”

To get to Salagou Lake, you need to climb a small highway on the heights and on its shoulder, vehicles cease to see the panorama. Amongst them, there’s Renée who comes from Martinique and who’s watching the scene: “I actually like all these mountains, this panorama with inconceivable colours!” Colours which are enticing certainly the attention of Gabriel and Daniel, two who retired from Isère: “The colour of the lake, the purple earth after which the vegetation round it, it is magnificent.”

One other argument from the 9,000 ha website: the tranquility that additionally attracts the native folks as a Christian. “The timber, the shade, it is calm, stress-free and for slightly picnic or a stroll, it is nice,” trusting the Héraultais who occasionally spend weekends by the lake.

Success that may be seen within the visitors to the positioning: in 2023, greater than 295,000 guests visited the positioninground 195,000 at Lake Salagou, 82,500 at Cirque de Mourèze, a preferred climbing spot and round 19,000 hikers on the remainder of the positioning.
