The local Vierzon mission will post an anonymous CV on Facebook every day until Christmas

The first day of December has arrived. It’s finally time to open the first box of your advent calendar. Chocolates, jewellery, make-up and even beers, there’s something for everyone. But the calendar of the Local Youth Mission of the Pays de Vierzon is very special. Behind each box is a resume. Every day until December 25 he will post on his page Facebook an anonymous CV of a young person you are accompanying. The Mission window located in the forum will also act as a display.

Use word of mouth

The goal: to give visibility to young people ready for employment. “We count on our network of partners to share our CVs and spread the word,” hopes Véronique Baudoin, head of commercial relations at the local mission. Employers interested in the anonymous CV can contact you to be put in contact with the young person. This experiment is the first for the Local Mission. “These young people are very motivated, they have many qualities, they are volunteers, you just have to give them a chance”, promotes Véronique Baudoin.

The Vierzon Local Mission wants to promote the hiring of young people through a placemat operation

Catering, domestic help, maintenance, entertainment, leisure, tourism, industry, commerce, many sectors are represented as well as all types of contracts. “CVs belong to them, they know how to defend it. We are not trying to modify them, because the goal is to bring them towards autonomy”, specifies the head of corporate relations. Young job seekers can be mobilized in Vierzon, its surroundings and, for some, as far as Bourges and even Châteauroux. “Mobility is one of the obstacles for our young people, such as qualifications, health and housing, but we are here to remove all possible obstacles,” explains Véronique Baudoin. The Local Mission also offers internships and visits to companies and training centres. “We also help them carry out internships to acquire skills and have the foundation of interpersonal skills. »

Véronique, very close to her young people, puts a lot of hope in this experiment. If it works, it could continue through the end of the year. “Thanks to this calendar, our young people have a new possibility to distribute their CV and could have a nice present under the tree. »
