Agents of the Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife have reported today the discovery of a 1200 square meter macro warehouse located in the industrial estate of the mayorazgo in which 33,227 counterfeit textile, household and decoration products have been detected so far and pyrotechnics, among others, as well as some of a non-approved sanitary nature such as hydroalcoholic gels and masks, some of them for children. To these infractions must be added the alleged carrying out of a clandestine activity, lack of a license and a complaint about the poor infrastructure of the premises, in which, according to the spokesman for the local police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Benito Fortes, there was a high risk of fire.
The police accessed said establishment on March 26, thus culminating a year of investigation of the criminal activities that were taking place in said warehouse. According to Fortes, the more than 33,000 products seized only correspond to 20% of the materials that were in the premises, so the investigation is still ongoing. In the coming weeks, follow-up work will continue and reports will be collected from other administrations on this activity.
