The Alicante Local Police carried out a night operation this Friday afternoon / night, with the presence of the Dron with thermal camera of the Unmanned Aerial Media Unit, in which he managed to dissolve 138 people in groups and consuming alcohol in Cabo de las Huertas, La Ereta, Serra Grossa, the Jorge Juan stairs, the Castillo de San Fernando and Villafranqueza.

In the Cape and the Calas area, the drone located large groups of about a hundred young, which were dissolved and sanctioned, four of them minors of age who were accompanied by the agents to their homes. In the Serra Grossa a bottle of 14 people was dissolved. 30 police reinforcement agents, the Fox Unit, the GOIR and the night service participated in the device and it was also supervised by the Security Councilor in the Alicante City Council, José Ramón González.

The councilor explained that “Alicante is one of the few cities in Spain in which the bottle and the beaches are controlled with a drone, and due to a reinforcement in the operations, security measures and surveillance are being increased, and asks to all maximum prudence, responsibility and collaboration “.

The Local Police started the aerial device with the drone at Postiguet beach at six o’clock in the afternoon, also alerting with the built-in loudspeaker of the measures that must be met such as maintaining distances, wearing masks and complying with the curfew and a Forward Command Post where the aerial media take-off and take-off operation was arranged together with firefighters from the FOOD. Subsequently, the device moved towards Cabo de las Huertas.

Throughout the police operation to enforce the different restrictions of the state of alarm, the agents imposed 142 complaints, of which 109 were for alcohol consumption, being in groups and not wearing masks, 3 for breaching the curfew and an establishment was also penalized for not respecting closing hours.

Fourth weekend of perimeter closure

The agents of the Local Police of Alicante interposed 29 complaints out of a total of 1,100 vehicles intercepted, in which a person was arrested for an alleged crime of document falsification of the driving license. In total, local police across the province raised 110 minutes.

For its part, National Police imposed a total of 442 minutes sanction throughout the province. 138 of these complaints occurred in Benidorm with a detainee, 101 in Alicante capital with another detainee or 85 in Elche, with six arrested.
