Work with young people… for young people! This is the very essence of the local Dracénie Coeur du Var mission which, every year for more than twenty years, has positioned itself at the service of young people and supports their professional integration.
A goal in perpetual adaptation, that the actors of the structure adjust as close as possible to reality.
“Our goal is to respond to the needs and requests of young people. To offer them the widest and most diversified range of services possible., recalls the director of the local Dracénie Coeur du Var mission, Emmanuel Guichard. But here we are, we have support difficulties that have always existed, and are increasing today for many reasons, whether they are generational, related to the value given to work, etc. And in fact, in general, the local missions do not see a decrease in the number of “neet” young people, that is to say finding themselves without a job, without training and outside school. This is why it is important for us to renew ourselves. “
A video studio on the air at Le Luc
And this, by the implementation of two new tools, which should be operational in the next six months: a media-communication pole, to which will be associated a video studio called “Lab’on-ID”.
“A device of the same type is already active in the local missions of Salon, Grasse and Toulon”, specifies Anabelle Bouvier, counselor in social and professional integration.
But what does this new project actually imply?
“A dedicated room will be set up within our Lucoise branch, says Adrien Innocent, in charge of information and communication with the local mission. It will live thanks to the young people, who will be able to produce live shows, via Twitch, broadcast on the Lab’on-ID YouTube channel. But also reports, micro-sidewalks, on implicating subjects, of which each one will have the free choice. “
Increase youth participation
The idea being to increase and promote the participation of young people, upstream of a classic course of accompaniment in local mission.
“This is beneficial in several ways, resume Anabelle Bouvier and Emmanuel Guichard. On the one hand, it will involve increasingly involving young people, both in substance and in form, in issues that concern them. But also to capture their attention through generational media that arouse desire and involvement, while allowing the development of professional skills. “
Finally, these new objectives also participate in the institutional communication of the local mission.
“A communication made by young people, for young people, can only increase the readability of our service offer, rejoices Emmanuel Guichard. Hoping to be able to broaden the range of possibilities and advance our offer, at the same time as the young people we support! “

Vox Milo: the adventure starts again!
Last year, as part of the Vox Milo Festival – an annual event organized by the National Union of Local Missions – about fifteen Dracénois and Dracéniens produced a mini-film lasting ten minutes, entitled “Believe in your dreams “.
And even if their production was not rewarded by the jury, the experience nonetheless remains enriching in the eyes of Adrien Innocent who, this year, is putting the table back in the name of the local Dracénie Coeur du Var mission.
“The final, which took place on Île Sainte-Marguerite, allowed us to meet and discuss with professionals and young people from other local missions. It was a very human adventure, very professionally rich and , ultimately, this is our gain. “
This year, apart from Adrien, the team has changed entirely, but the objective remains the same:
“Why not win an award, it’s true, but above all take pleasure in what we do, get involved and pass on messages on subjects that are close to our hearts!”
The other major stake of the local Dracénie Coeur du Var mission, during this year 2022, will be the implementation of the Youth Engagement Contract (CEJ), presented by the Prime Minister last November, which will succeed the Guarantee young people from 1is mars.
“If all the contours of this device are not yet known, explains Emmanuel Guichard, we already know that it will be organized around fundamentals. AT Namely: a course lasting a maximum of twelve months, aimed at young people aged 16 to 25, who are not students, do not follow training, and encounter difficulties in accessing sustainable employment. Personalized and intensive support will be set up within a contractual framework, as well as a program of 15 to 20 hours per week, followed by a single referent. All this with an allowance of up to 500 euros per month for those who need it. “
