The Little Island public park, one of our city’s newest built on the waters of the Hudson River at 14th Street in Manhattan, recently announced its schedule of summer concerts and activities.
This is the fourth year in a row that the park has offered recreation and entertainment, at little or no cost, to New Yorkers.
In addition, this is the first time the organizers aim to present completely new shows on the island’s main stage, an amphitheater with a capacity for 700 spectators, with a ticket price of $25 .
The Little Island’s summer programs begin June 1 and run through September, with nine world premieres.
Shows will be presented for all tastes, and the opera could not be missing for lovers of the “Bel Canto”, with three shows of a new version of the opera “The Marriage of Figaro”, by Mozart.
The free shows will be presented in the area called “The Glade”, covered with grass and with enough benches to seat 200 people.
The programming of free shows offers a different artist every week, with music, songs, plays and other cultural activities.

Remember, apart from the summer shows, the Little Island has more to offer. This public park, built on an artificial island and inaugurated in May 2021, offers a variety of attractions and activities throughout the year, for the enjoyment of the whole family.
Take advantage of the summer show season on Eilean Beag. It’s a great opportunity to have fun and have a good time with your family and friends… In your spare time.
