“Something big is coming to Washington DC…”. It is by these words and an illustration where we can guess the silhouette of the little french that the carsharing company Free2Move USA has announced its arrival across the Atlantic.
The Citroën AMI, micro-city car to conquer America

The service, which launched in 2018 in Washington DC, currently offers two very different vehicles from the little French: on the one hand, we have the SUV Equinoxe from Chevrolet, on the other the Cruze sedan of the same brand. Suffice to say that our micro-city, with its 471 kg all wet does not play in the same category.
As a reminder, the Citroën Ami is a vehicle announced by the brand in 2019 and available since May 11, 2020 in France. It’s a 100% electric car which is accessible without a permit, and which is limited to 45km/h as required by the regulations.
The micro-city car goes straight to the point: 2 doors, 2 seats, rustic in design. With these characteristics, will the little Friend succeed in seducing her new audience across the Atlantic? One thing is certain, it will have no trouble making its way on American roads, known to be very wide …
