Such a recommendation was made to the government last week by the Waltz Emergency Commission (WESC), stating that a new pandemic wave cannot be ruled out.
According to the Minister of Health Arūns Duļķis, the current support measures for the business affected by the pandemic are planned to be continued.
According to him, the current regulatory framework for precautionary measures is not expected to change significantly, as risks remain, although the epidemiological situation has now significantly improved.
“We have [jaunā koronavīrusa] Delta type, the vaccination process has slowed down – we are simply adapting the legal framework, ”the Minister explained.
After hearing the recommendation of the WSCE, the government has decided that work in trade and service places, state and municipal institutions and companies should be organized in accordance with the procedures set by the emergency manager, taking into account the requirements for regulating visitor flows, distance and hygiene.
The so-called opportunity passport for vaccinated, ill and people with a negative Covid-19 test will remain valid. It will be used for education and health services, as well as for large mass events such as festivals and concerts, which will be watched not only by specific seats, but will continue to require all visitors to register when selling tickets online.
At present, in Lithuania, holders of opportunity passports are allowed to participate in an unlimited number of outdoor events, while not filling more than 75% of the seats.
It is still recommended to wear mouth and nose covers indoors.
It has already been reported that, according to the Lithuanian Department of Statistics, the 14-day cumulative number of infections per 100,000 population on June 28 in the country is 31.3.
A total of 1,228,009 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in Lithuania, including 942,084.
