The list of people suspected in spreading debate in Kemang, Jakarta is growing

The police deliver the latest developments issue of debate distribution in KemangSouth Jakarta. The number of people arrested and suspected has increased to nine.

A total of 9 suspects

Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Head of Public Relations Ade Ary Syam Indradi said that four perpetrators who were just arrested and named as suspects of the debacle in Kemang were spread. All four were detained.

The four suspects have the initials YL (24), and their role was to damage the flag and the board using a mic stand, WSL (28), whose role was to damage the flag and projector screen pole, FMC (24), who was on duty. damaging the projector screen, and RAS, which had a duty to damage property.

During the initial handling of the case, three people were arrested and named as suspects. Based on the results of the development of the case, two other suspects were arrested by the Jatanras Sub-Director Team, Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya.

Of the people arrested, five were named as suspects. The two new suspects, namely YS (33), were arrested at his family’s home in East Jakarta, and RR (27), were arrested at his family’s home in Bekasi. The suspect YS played a role in causing the damage.

There are three suspects who were previously arrested by the police, namely FEK as the coordinator of the operation along with MR and GW.

Discussion Solution Issue

A diaspora debate at a hotel in Kemang district, South Jakarta, attended by several people, including former PP Muhammadiyah General Chairman Din Syamsuddin and constitutional law expert Refly Harun, was violently dispersed by a group of people, Saturday (28/9/2024).

While the police were securing the demonstration, a group of criminals entered the hotel through the back door. They vandalized and broke up the debate event.

The General Commander of the National Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo also asked his staff to work vigorously against the spread. General Listyo emphasized that there is no room for perpetrators of thuggery.

“Mr. National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo has also given instructions in the past and in the future, to instruct all levels to take strong action and not to accept all kinds of attacks and anarchist activities done by any community group and for any reason,” said Karo Penmas, National Police Public Relations Department, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko at the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Monday (30/9/2024).
