The Linz Group is looking for 30 apprentices

LINZ. The corporate group of the City of Linz (UGL) is currently looking for 30 apprentices in various professions such as horticultural technician, cook and media specialist. The application deadline is May 7th.

After the first 32 apprenticeships were allocated in mid-March, the City of Linz Group (UGL) is looking for more creative, committed and inquisitive people. 30 apprenticeship places will be allocated, informs the Linz City Administration. “The city of Linz stands for secure jobs, reliability and stability, which is also impressively demonstrated in times of crisis. The apprentice offensive makes it clear that Linz, as a strong business location, is a good place to live and work. With its wide range of professional fields and currently more than 300 apprentices, the municipal group of companies is an important driver of apprenticeship training nationwide, ”says Mayor Klaus Luger (SPÖ) with conviction.

15 different apprenticeships at the magistrate

Apprentices are trained in different professions such as horticultural technician, event manager, media manager, cook or finance and accounting assistant. With the magistrate alone, you can choose from 15 different apprenticeships. “Especially in the first years of training, it is important to support young, committed people in their personal and professional development. Because standing still means going backwards, the companies of the City of Linz ensure that the apprentices receive perfect training and attractive opportunities for further training, ”says City Councilor and Personnel Officer Regina Fechter (SPÖ). The offer includes job rotations, training courses, apprenticeships with high school diplomas, competitions and internships at home and abroad in selected companies. The service provider UGL includes the Linz City Administration, Linz AG, Liva, the Design Center, senior centers, GWG and Ars Electronica.
The application deadline for an apprenticeship at UGL is May 7th. Those interested can find more information on the Website of the city of Linz.
