Medical advice for people focuses on the need to brush teeth before bed to avoid the risk of painful tooth decay, but a recent Japanese study indicates that there is a stronger risk not related to decay, but related to an increased risk of heart disease if brushing teeth before bed is neglected.

The British Daily Express reported that a team from Japan’s Osaka University tracked about 1,700 people for 3 years; To know the effect of brushing teeth on heart disease.

The team divided the respondents into a group committed to brushing teeth when waking up and before going to sleep, a second committed to brushing teeth when waking up only, and a third committed to brushing teeth only when sleeping.

The group excluded smokers from calculating the respondents from calculating the extent of susceptibility to heart disease.

The team found that those who neglect brushing their teeth before going to bed are more vulnerable to heart disease, while the group that neglects to brush their teeth in the morning did not have a higher risk of heart disease, and the same applies to the group that brushes their teeth at night and in the morning.

It is noteworthy that a number of previous studies have indicated the existence of links between oral health and the health of various organs of the body, which are affected by the bacteria spread in the mouth.
