The light of the first Advent candle lit on Casalgrande Square – Dunakanyar Region

The Advent fair and the city’s Christmas tree are waiting for the people of Dunedin to get in the festive mood at Casalgrande square again this year. On the afternoon of the first Sunday of Advent, after the heart-warming experience of the kindergarten children of Aranyalma Tagóvoda, evangelical pastor Katalin Petriné Chikán gave a festive greeting, who together with church affairs councilor József Szabó lit the first Advent candle. To the delight of the little ones, the long-awaited Santa Claus arrived at Casalgrande Square with a full putt.

On the afternoon of the first Sunday of Advent, many people visited the festively decorated Casalgrande square, where Zsófia Kundlya, the municipal representative responsible for public relations, on behalf of the city government, greeted the celebrants with kind words.

The kindergarteners of Aranyalma Tagóvoda were the first to take the stage, and they presented the well-numbered audience with poems and songs that received great applause.

Just like last year, the people of Dunakesje could hear the festive greeting of the Lutheran pastor Katalin Petriné Chikán on the first Sunday of Advent.

– It is so good to see that there are many of us here in the whirlwind of Advent, but there is also a need to quieten down a bit, to look within ourselves, and for this we call on the traditions of the Hungarian Evangelical Church and the Bible – Katalin Petriné Chikán began her speech.

In his celebratory address, the evangelical minister made the importance of community and alliance the focus of his speech, in which he emphasized the importance of marriage and partnerships.

He continued: “… where two or three gather in the name of Jesus, He is there among them.

He teaches them his covenant,

as a parent teaches his child to love.

as a spouse honors his partner with fidelity.

just as the teachers of our lives have quietly supported us in our failures.”

Katalin Petriné Chikán said that the signs of the Advent community and the Advent covenant are the wreath and the Christmas tree, gifts and good deeds. He added: “The gifts are not for their own sake, but are God’s gifts under the packaging: love, faith, hope, peace, altruism, loyalty, kindness, gentleness, patience. And your good deeds test us, does this mean that I make sacrifices for others every day, does this strengthen my faith?”

In conclusion, the pastor asked the celebrants to pray together for those who were left alone and lonely.

After the celebratory speech, Lutheran pastor Katalin Petriné Chikán lit the first candle on the Advent wreath in the presence of the multitude of Dunakesians – in the company of church affairs councilor József Szabó – whose brightness filled people’s hearts with love.

After the spirit-raising minutes, Santa Claus arrived, to the great joy of the children, who presented a festive package to the glistening little girls and boys gathered around the town’s Christmas tree, accompanied by a colorful sentence.

In the early evening hours, Casalgrande, lit up with the brightness of festive anticipation, was filled with the gentle ringing voice of Zoltán Pomázi, the singer of the Bojtorján band.
