It all started when Hans (name changed) lost his job as financial accountant and ran into financial difficulties. That was in 2006, when Hans was 49 years old. Not an easy age to start looking for a job. “I tried my best, but in God’s name between 50 and 60 I couldn’t find a job,” said Hans visibly moved in front of the Bremgarten district court: “I saw no way out.”
