The life of Covid in the hospital

The inter-municipal media library of Ussel hosts the exhibition “The life of Covid in a psychiatric hospital” until the end of December.

An exhibition of photographs taken by patients and users of the Pays d’Eygurande hospital center (CHPE). Two services took part in this project: the Unit for Difficult Patients (UMD) and the Part-Time Therapeutic Reception Center (CATTP) in Ussel, known as the therapeutic café L’Envolée; the first in complete hospitalization in a closed but reassuring place, the other, an open place in the heart of the city.

Workshops

These workshops were jointly conducted by Georges Vergnol, professional photographer, and the health teams of the CHPE as part of a call for projects for culture and health.

This photographic exhibition is the testimony of patients and users with disabilities, as well as healthcare professionals, about their feelings in this pandemic context. Culture thus acts as a lever for freedom of speech and self-esteem through the acquisition of know-how in photographic techniques.
