The members of one of the most beloved bands of the 2000s have told how their lives changed after the train accident in which they were involved. At the time, they were returning from a concert.
At the end of the 90s, the band AS XX enjoyed tremendous success. Cristina Munteanu, Ciprian and Gabi, who founded the band in 1997, sang the songs “Tell me why”, “Vreau”, “Inima te cheama” in the most famous discotheques in the country. On September 24, 2000, they were involved in a serious accident and Ciprian died.
What the former soloist of the band says
Cristina from the band AS XX was seriously injured. The former soloist said that it was very difficult for her to get over the accident and give up music, but that she couldn’t do anything anymore. She is a mother of two and owns a bar in Italy.
“I decided to leave the country 20 years ago. I have been in Italy for a long time, I have two children, I am fine. I miss my musical life a lot, unfortunately the COVID situation also stole this part from me, because here in Italy I was still making an appearance, I was still singing. Now, I have a bar for many years and lead a normal life. (…) I still watch the videos on YouTube and it gives me goosebumps when I see that the fans still write that that period was amazing”, said Cristina Munteanu, at To install Antena Stars.
He lost everything after the accident
Cristina also stated that she lost everything because of the accident and that she could no longer stay in the country. She also said that the band was enjoying tremendous success at the time and was preparing to release a new album.
“I lost everything I had dearest. I had my band, I had just signed a contract with Sony Music, with Cat Music…I was on the highest level. (…) He also died at that moment. I had no choice and decided to leave the country”, confessed the former soloist of the band AS XX.
