BIOGRAPHY
Sapho was born in January 1950, in Morocco from her baptismal name Danielle EBGUY, she made her childhood in Marrakech in the company of his family, until she decided to fly to Paris to pursue studies in the Faculty of Letters. During her stay in Paris, she developed an attraction for the world of theater.

When she applied for the Petit Conservatoire de Mireille, she changed her surname to Sapho in relation to one of her Greek poet idols. The year 1977 marks her debut in music since in this year, she signs her first album “Le Balayeur du Rex”.

After that she will make a trip to the United States, to New York more precisely. From there her career will take an extraordinary turn during which she will successively string together nearly three albums without counting literary publications and theatrical performances.
A GREAT SUCCESS
