“The Life and Legacy of Tina Turner: Reflections on Health, Illness, and Music”

My kidneys are a victim of not realizing that my high blood pressure should have been treated with conventional medicine. I put myself in great danger by refusing to face the reality that I needed daily, lifelong drug therapy. For too long I believed that my body was an untouchable and indestructible bastion. This is what the late Tina Turner wrote in her post.

The Queen of Rock and Roll died on Wednesday at the age of 83. The world-famous singer died at her home in Switzerland after a long illness, her spokesperson announced.

“The world has lost a musical legend,” he added.

She was born on 26 Nov 1939 in Nutbush, Tennessee, USA. Her career began in the mid-1950s and lasted more than half a century.
