Timothée Hal Chalamet was born in the United States, in New York. He grew up surrounded by his French father who is a journalist, Marc Chalamet, his American mother Nicole Flender who is a real estate agent and his older sister, Pauline, also an actress. She lives in France and, for example, played in Iris Brey’s series, Split, on france.tv.
Thanks to his parents, Timothée Chalamet grew up between two cultures: he speaks English and French. Her father forced her to chat with him in French to help her become bilingual. With his family, he regularly spent his holidays in France, particularly in Haute-Loire to visit his grandparents.
From a very young age, Timothée developed several passions: he loved football, he learned the piano and above all wanted to become an actor. From the age of 13, he began acting in commercials, TV films, short films and series. He joined the LaGuardia artistic high school and graduated in 2013. The following year he played in his first feature film, playing Matthew McConaughey’s son, in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar. He also played for Woody Allen in A Rainy Day in New York before dissociating himself from the director in the face of the accusations against the latter. He announces that he wants to donate his fee to various associations such as the LGBT Center of New York and RAINN (the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network).
From the 2020s, Timothée Chalamet joins the cast of blockbusters like Dune by Denis Villeneuve, Entergalactic by Fletcher Moules or Wonka the Paul King.
At the same time, he is recognized for his original and daring clothing choices. In an interview for Brut he confided that he wanted to have fun with fashion: “We have more of the right today than in past generations and because I have fun doing that, also because there is really a side artistic, especially the collaborations that I’m lucky enough to have with Haider Ackermann several times now, but also with Hedi Slimane and Tom Ford and Virgil, who passed away last year, and Stella McCartney, it galvanizes me.”

Private life of Timothée Chalamet
Timothée Chalamet was in a relationship with in high school with Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes Ciccone-Leon from the ages of 18 to 20. Subsequently, he became a couple with Lily-Rose Depp, daughter of Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp from the age of 23 to 25, after meeting her on the set of the film The King by David Michôd.
