The Liepāja Symphony Orchestra celebrates the end of 2022 with a brilliant symphonic jazz program

Led by maestro Guntas Kuzmas, together with singer Beata Zviedri and actor Gundar Silakaktins, the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra took the audience on a journey to the legendary Broadway. The concert featured sizzling music from the golden repertoire of American jazz classics George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein and Cole Porter.

Arti Shaw’s energetic clarinet concert received a stormy ovation from the audience, in which Guntis Kuzma played the role of conductor and soloist at the same time.

The concert was also broadcast live by Latvijas Radio 3’s Klasika program, and you can listen to the recording here: https://replay.lsm.lv/lv/ieraksts/lr/170924/liepajas-simfoniska-orkestra-vecgada-koncerts – liepajas-koncerzale-lielais- amber

The Liepāja Symphony Orchestra is still joyfully fortissimo at the beginning of the year and is looking forward to meeting its wonderful listeners in new concert programs as early as next year, in 2023.
