The LFP harshly sanctions Marseille

The Professional Football League (LFP) unveiled the sanctions taken by the Disciplinary Committee on Wednesday.

Wednesday is the day feared by Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 teams since the disciplinary committee reveals its sanctions. The LFP sanctioned Olympique de Marseille for “use of pyrotechnic devices, use of lasers and intrusion of a spectator on the lawn. €35,000 fine and closure for a match in the space reserved for Fanatics & Winners groups at the Vélodrome stadium” during the match against OGC Nice.

Nantes, Lille and Bordeaux were also sanctioned.

Sanctions by the LFP Disciplinary Committee

“29th day of Ligue 1 Uber Eats: Olympique de Marseille – OGC Nice of March 20, 2022
Behavior of Olympique de Marseille supporters: use of pyrotechnic devices, use of lasers and intrusion of a spectator on the pitch
€35,000 fine and closure for a match of the space reserved for Fanatics & Winners groups at the Vélodrome stadium.

29th day of Ligue 1 Uber Eats: FC Nantes – Lille LOSC of March 19, 2022
Behavior of FC Nantes supporters: use of pyrotechnic devices and intrusion of two spectators on the lawn: Closure for a suspended match of the Tribune Loire de la Beaujoire.

29th day of Ligue 1 Uber Eats: FC Girondins de Bordeaux – Montpellier Hérault FC of March 20, 2022
Behavior of FC Girondins de Bordeaux supporters: use of pyrotechnic devices and throwing objects
Closure for two matches, one of which is suspended, of the lower part of the south corner stand of the Matmut Atlantique stadium.

29th day of Ligue 1 Uber Eats: FC Nantes – LOSC Lille on March 19, 2022
Behavior of Mr. Sylvain ARMAND, Sports Coordinator of LOSC Lille

€10,000 suspended fine. Suspension from the bench, the referees’ locker room and all official functions until May 31, 2022.
The sanction takes effect on Tuesday April 5, 2022 at midnight, in application of article 18 of the Disciplinary Regulations of the LFP.

Once again OM is harshly sanctioned by the commission.
