After the weekend rains, the levels of Czech rivers are rising again. The first flood stage has so far been reached by rivers in five regions, namely in Jihočeský, Královéhradecký, Pardubický, Olomoucký and Vysočina.

“After the night storm, we have so far recorded only two technical assistance with water pumping, in Černíkovice in the Rychnov region and in the area near Stříbrný rybník in Hradec Králové, where water lagoons were formed. In Tutle in Rychnov region six o’clock on Monday morning.

Currently, flood preparedness is valid for the Pardubice, Olomouc and Moravian-Silesian regions, until Tuesday noon. “Due to the previous saturation of the area and predicted precipitation, we expect increases in watercourse levels with the expected reaching of the 1st SPA (flood activity level) to the 2nd SPA, on smaller watercourses the 3rd SPA may be exceeded for a short time,” said meteorologists.

The lower level of warning, ie flood vigilance, applies until Tuesday noon for the Central Bohemian, South Bohemian, Plzeň, Hradec Králové, Pardubice, South Moravian, Olomouc and Moravian-Silesian regions and in the Vysočina region.

At the same time, there is also a risk of heavy rains, in the South Bohemian, Pardubice, South Moravian, Olomouc, Zlín and Moravian-Silesian regions and in the Vysočina region. In the Czech Republic, the warning is valid until Monday noon, in Moravia and in Silesia until four o’clock in the afternoon.
