“I love this job more than anything in the world, my passion, my life, I educate dancers over 3 generations in Cannes, having never had a single problem in 25 years,” writes the choreographer.

Questioned by a student

This letter was written before the public accusations of the former dance teacher of the Star Academy Yanis Marshall. The January 18, the latter announced that he wanted to file a complaint against the Cannes choreographer, for acts of sexual assault on a minor.

Bruno Vandelli’s letter comes as a response to the parents of students at the dance school. According to information from BFM Nice Côte d’Azur, during an end-of-year show in December, a student from the school read a text in front of everyone implicating Bruno Vandelli.

“Totally monstrous words were used in front of young people and this traumatized me because our students are my priority,” assures Bruno Vandelli in his letter.

“I am a pacifist and not a bandit”

“I will fight to keep my dignity in the face of this profession and in the face of you of course,” writes Bruno Vandelli, affirming that he would “never harm an animal or raise a hand against anyone, I am a pacifist and not a bandit, an aggressor or even a violent person! And to top it off, a rapist or a killer (this is unacceptable).”

Bruno Vandelli, who “commits to guaranteeing, as has always been the case, the safety and well-being of all (his) students”, “asks” also parents “not to judge without knowing from the mouth of ‘one or two hateful people who only want evil’.

“We criticize words, conversations which relate to my private life and not my profession. Jealousy, hatred are poured out without any measure with the objective of destroying”, further specifies the choreographer, specifying that no complaint had was then filed for violence or harm to others against him.

Contacted by BFM Nice Côte d’Azur, the Grasse public prosecutor’s office indicates that at this stage no procedure has been recorded, while specifying that “this does not mean that there has not been a complaint filed in an investigative service. According to our information, the dance teacher has been removed from the school and is not teaching any classes.
