As every year for eight years now, the Lepoivre family goes to Lourdes as part of the hospital pilgrimage. Bruno, Valérie and three of their children: Clémence, Agathe and Lucie, have all been given different missions, and the role they will play for five days.
“We all received a letter. Clémence will be in the catering, Agathe will be a nurse and I, Lucie and Bruno, we are in room service, ”explains Valérie, the mother.
Lucie specifies: “We have two rooms which are allotted to us and we take care of the people in these rooms from sunrise to sunset. We spend our time with them. “

But the two parents also have other missions to ensure in addition. “I am also part of the animation of the choir, during masses, prayers and activities while Bruno is responsible for the room: he takes care of coordinating the hospital workers and ensuring that room life is the best. possible, ”says Valérie.
“Something very beautiful”
Even though this is the eighth time that the family has taken part in the pilgrimage, the emotion is still there. “It is something very beautiful, because we see sick people praying for healings and we take the time to accompany them”, testifies Agathe.
In Eure-et-Loir, the craze for the “pelé” towards Lourdes does not weaken
“It’s a week that we give for sick people. It feels good to get out of your area a bit and say to yourself “it’s five days that are not for us, but for others”. Especially since we are faced with realities very different from ours. “
