The parking lot will be opened as a 24-hour public parking lot. And when two large-scale golf tournaments are held in the future, the land will be leased to the Hong Kong Golf Club for use, and the relevant land will be temporarily closed.
After attending an event of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Yang Runxiong said that the pet park and walking trails will be open from 7 am, the pet park will be open until 6 pm, and the walking trail will be open until 9 pm. Since there will be two golf competitions on the course in October and November, the venue will be leased to the golf club from September 11 until it reopens on November 15. Yang Runxiong said that the lease arrangement is still being discussed with the club, and it will be the same as the previous arrangements for the authorities to lease venues to different groups.
Yang Runxiong also said that the land in question is not a golf course, but is used for conservation and static recreational facilities. The LCSD will handle it from this direction, so the appearance will be different from the current one. At present, a large number of parks and trees in Hong Kong are managed by the LCSD Management, I reiterate that the department has the professional ability to do a good job. After the two competitions are over, the department will have more time for management and will have more detailed arrangements.
