The legislators of Tucumán willing to remove Uber from the province

Three legislators Daniel Deiana, Javier Morof and Dante Loza from Tucumán (Argentina), have received at the seat of the legislature a delegation of taxi drivers who went to propose that UBER not be allowed to operate in the province.

Legislator Deiana indicated that they are already taking care of this situation, through a bill that prohibits technological platforms that are not duly authorized.

“We seek to preserve the source of work for 30,000 families that depend on this activity. We want to avoid unfair competition that harms the sector ”.

In turn, Julio Rodríguez, representative of the Federation of Taxi Drivers of the Argentine Republic, thanked the legislative authorities for their willingness:

“We are very satisfied, since we are concerned that unfair competition will happen, even more so in the context of the pandemic.”

Finally, Antonio Rodríguez, member of ATIAR (Association of Workers Involved in Taximetrera Activity), stated:

“Activity has been hit hard for a long time. Legislators bring us peace of mind, since they are going to defend the genuine sources of work for taxi drivers ”.

In this way, the voices against the transport company Uber are enlarged since the councilors issued a similar opinion yesterday and would thus avoid the unfair competition that this company carries out around the world.
