The transition of the Zwickau plant to electric cars is a landmark event not only for Volkswagen, but also for the entire global automotive industry. After all, this is one of the oldest automobile enterprises in the world. It began to work back in 1904, and cars of such brands as Horch, DKW, IFA, Audi, Trabant, Volkswagen were leaving the assembly line of this plant. We can say that the Zwickau plant is part of the DNA of the entire European automobile industry (over 116 years more than 9.5 million cars with internal combustion engines have been made there).

And now this company refuses ICE and switches to electric cars. So far, only Volkswagen ID.3 will be doing there, but soon other electric Volkswagen will join it, as well as electric cars Audi, Skoda and SEAT (six models are planned to be made in total).
