During the Gamescom 2020 Opening Night Live Show, the return of a video game icon was celebrated with an exclusive trailer. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turrican, the classic video game franchise will gain momentum!
Factor 5 and Strictly Limited Games present a new chapter in the history of Turrican, a compilation Complete classic action series – now on modern platforms.
The Turrican series combines exploration and frenetic action, and boasts one of the best video game soundtracks composed by the German composer. Chris Huelsbeck. The optional game soundtrack has been fully remasterisée and reorganized.
Together with the original Factor 5 team, Strictly Limited Games organized and developed an anthology in two volumes which allows you not only to discover the history of the most beautiful moments of Turrican, but also to discover new information and secrets from the many extras.
The Classic Series comes with a selection of filters and of borders to personalize the experience. The legendary lost version of Super Turrican Director’s Cut is also included, which features all of the restored cut content, as well as the all new version Score Attack. Music can also be enjoyed in two ways: In-game, the player can choose between original chiptune soundtracks or new arranged versions by composer Chris Huelsbeck.

Both editions are priced at 34,99 €. Nintendo Switch editions are each limited to 3,500 copies worldwide, while the editions PlayStation 4 are limited to 2000 copies.
The Turrican Collector’s Edition (€ 99.99) and Turrican Ultra Collector’s Edition (€ 199.99) includes both Turrican Anthologies and includes many extras. One of the strengths in particular is the feature-length documentary Blu-Ray created by Audi industry veterans Sorlie and John Linneman. With its interviews of developers and its in-depth look at the world of Turrican, this documentary is sure to appeal to fans old and new.
For all retro enthusiasts, Strictly Limited Games Offers Original Retro Cartridges For SNES And Mega Drive / Genesis featuring brand new covers from two legendary box illustration artists Tom DuBois and Mike Winterbauer. Their work will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Additionally, Chris Huelsbeck’s sound work has been rearranged and mixed by himself for a whole new set of vinyl exclusive! Hailed as one of the greatest retro gaming soundtracks of all time, now for the very first time on vinyl.
In addition, select ININ Games digital and retail content is also in the works, but with less content than the exclusive limited editions of Strictly Limited Games.
