PARIS (October 29, 2024) – The Publisher Your dot and the development team from Games Studio have today announced the bold, turn-based RPG adaptation of the iconic run-and-gun series Metal Slug Tactics am 5. November will be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. At the same time the game is available for €24.99 PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One released.
Danger! While you were keeping an eye on the Game Pass news, you were flanked by the new gameplay video from Metal Slug Tactics. Over 18 minutes of fresh footage focuses on thrilling battles that showcase the devastating abilities of the most recently revealed playable characters.
The video features a trio of valuable allies fighting alongside the series’ main warriors in battle:
- Clark Still: Originally from the Ikari Warriors series and already playable in Metal Slug 6, Clark uses his immense strength and wrestling experience to reposition enemies around the map and deal large-scale damage with status effects.
- Ralph Jones: Also back in combat from Ikari Warriors and Metal Slug 6, Ralf is a master of hand-to-hand combat. He deals devastating blows and can attack enemies head-on like a raging bull.
- Leona Heidern: A newer addition to the Ikari Warriors, Leona is a fearsome fighter who can replace fallen enemies with decoy allies to confuse and overwhelm opponents.
Metal Slug Tactics is both a respectful homage to a timeless classic and a creative new way to celebrate the renowned series, capturing METAL SLUG’s distinctive aesthetic in beautiful pixel art and fluid animation. The highly replayable battlefields combine randomized layouts of hand-crafted terrain sectors with subtle roguelite elements, forcing players to adapt to unpredictable clashes and master dynamic, strategic combat. Wield classic METAL SLUG weaponry, employ skill trees, perks and a super attack-building adrenaline system to outsmart and destroy the flanks of the series’ signature villains.
Metal Slug Tactics is developed entirely by Leikir Studio, with support from Dotemu and in collaboration with SNK, the owner of the IP.
